The Easter Journey

On Good Friday 2015, First Baptist Church embarked on a new ministry … “The Easter Journey”.  Held on the grounds of  Main Street Bethlehem, this walk-through journey took visitors down the path that Jesus trod only hours earlier, on His way to the cross. Encounters with pivotal characters along the way culminated in the ultimate scene of the crucifixion. Please click this link to view the event: http://youtu.be/4SFEsQk8sF0.

On Easter morning, guests were invited to make their way down the deserted streets of the city and discover that the tomb was, indeed, empty! An angel proclaimed that “He is not here, He is risen!”.

Our 2017 production was, once again,  held on Good Friday, April 14th, 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The cast this year was increased, and the format altered slightly, allowing visitors to walk through at their own pace.

Easter Sunday morning, 7:30 – 10:45 , many visitors came to view the empty tomb (at their own pace).  The simplicity of this early morning event is overwhelming and so meaningful.

We eagerly anticipate next year’s production and hope you will be able to attend!
